Cupcakes for Kaidence

We are SO excited to announce our first community service event! We heard about Cupcakes for Kaidence about 2 days ago and can't wait to start helping!  There will be an event held at the Wight House in Bountiful, RIGHT next door to our store!  We are very excited to be involved and feel blessed to have this opportunity!  We have a button -----> over there, to the right!  You can donate, OR we will have days that proceeds will go towards Kaidence, so you buy awesome-ness and know that you are also donating - aka, best of both worlds!  Here is Miss Kaidence's journey:

"I spent 127 Days at Primary Childrens Hospital in the PICU. I was born healthy but became ill after catching a virus that caused my Cardiomyopathy (an enlarged heart). My heart was not pumping and I was dying. We were granted special government permission upon emergency use to implant the "Berlin Heart" an LVAD (Left Ventricular Assist Device) for babies. This would give me more time to wait for a heart. I was the first patient in the state of Utah to receive this device. I received the experimental device in November 2007. It saved my life and I received a heart transplant December 2007, two days before Christmas. My new heart has given me a new chance at life and I am forever grateful to the family that gave me my "Angel Heart". On Monday September 26th 2011 I went into my yearly heart cath and biopsy. The results came back showing that I now have something called Coronary Artery Disease in my perfect little heart. My family was heart broken with this news. The docters explained that due to the disease in my arteries I could at any moment have a fatal heart attack. My family was devasteated! The only option we had left was to list me for another heart transplant. So here we are waiting for another miracle....."
We cannot imagine what her sweet family must be feeling, and we want to help, and hope that our followers and customers will feel the same..  If you have any questions, ideas, or items that you would like to donate, email us: mindymaesmarket@gmail.com.  We will make sure that you don't go unnoticed!

  1. What a beautiful little girl! She will be in my prayers for sure! (As well as her family). Having gone through the experience of having a critically ill child myself, I can truly empathize with them.
