A Great Button Down Top for Fall
|| Although it’s still 80 degrees in San Diego, fall has officially
begun as of today. Helllllooo fall! I’m convinced that San Diego is a
season behind. While it’s everyone’s time to cool down, September and
October are some of our warmest months. If any of you are thinking about
taking a trip to San Diego, come in Sept/Oct. and you’ll have the best
weather, I promise.
With that being said, let’s celebrate the arrival of fall and pretend it’s cooler shall we?
One of my favorite types of tops to wear
when the weather cools down is a great button down top for fall. Why?
Because there are a number of ways to wear it! Today, I’m featuring a Black and Red Plaid Button down from Mindy Mae’s Market and showing you three ways you can wear your button down tops.
LOOK 1 | Gal Going Out
Whether daytime or night, you can sass up
this great plaid button down with a pair of leggings (in this case faux
leather leggings), heels, and fun gold accessories. I’d wear this
during the day, meeting up with some friends, or going out to dinner
with my hubby at night. And in case a fall chill is in the air, you can
throw on a great blazer.

LOOK 2 | Daytime Sparkle
Who says you can’t wear glitter during
the day? I’m all for it. In this case, you can dress down the top with
a pair of jeans and flats but still have a bit of sparkle with a fun
shoe!
Style Tip: For
you ladies who might be a bit bustier, shall we say, and think a button
down doesn’t fit right on you, the safest bet is to go a size up and
take it to a tailor to have the sides taken in. That way, it’ll fit you
all around.

LOOK 3 | Holiday
It’s easy to dress up a button down top with a fabulous skirt, like this gorgeous sequin A-Line swing skirt from Mindy Mae’s Market!
It might not be too early to start thinking about those holiday
parties, ladies. Any weddings coming up in October or November? Outfit
done and done.
Style Tip: Think about pairing fun patterns, like plaid, polka dots, and animal print together to create a
